What is AcuOne?

AcuOne is an electronic medical device operated by a chip that sends tiny electrical impulses via contacts covered with palladium. The impulses stimulate specific points along the acupuncture meridians on the inside of the right wrist.

How to use AcuOne

To make the best use of AcuOne, the device needs to be positioned with extreme care. Place the device on the inside of your right wrist, with the metal contacts resting against your skin. To activate the device, press the button situated on the bottom of the casing (button A). The device is programmed to work for two minutes. It will stop automatically.

Do you want to lose weight? AcuOne is at hand to help you. That urge to nibble something, just a little taste… Wear it on your right wrist and use it when you need it. A session of electro-acupuncture will help you to overcome those cravings that are so hard to control. (4 to 6 2-minute sessions a day). You can also use it as a preventative half an hour then quarter of an hour before meals.

Acupuncture is an age-old science that is now recognised and practised in many hospitals around the world. AcuOne is based on the principles of that science, whereby the inside of the wrist has seven points that can be combined and stimulated in order to regulate vital energy. There are several ways of stimulating those points: with needles, heat, massage, laser, or by means of tiny electrical pulses, which is known as electro-acupuncture and is mainly used in hospitals but is now available for use in your own home thanks to AcuOne.

(before using for the first time, remove the tear-off strip)

1. DESCRIPTION

The unit contains an electronic circuit operated by a chip and 2 CR2025 batteries, already fitted. AcuOne is activated by simply pressing button A (see diagram 3).

1. POSITIONING AND ADJUSTING THE BRACELET

AcuOne is placed on the inside of your right wrist, as high up towards the palm as possible. The bracelet can be adjusted so that the device is not too tight, but so that the contacts are resting against the skin. It is also important that the device is centred on the wrist.

1. FREQUENCY OF USE

Use AcuOne half an hour and quarter of an hour before each meal. It is also recommended to use it every time you feel like snacking, have a craving or experience a bulimic impulse. The device is programmed to work for 2 minutes. It will stop automatically.

I can't feel anything, is that normal?

Yes. The tiny electrical impulses are very weak.

How many times a day can I use AcuOne?

Between 8 and 15 times a day. Exceeding this limit will not do any harm but neither will it be of any benefit.

How long do the batteries last, where can I buy new ones?

The batteries should last between 6 to 12 months depending on how often the device is used. You can buy them from approved dealers.

Can I wear AcuOne on my left wrist?

No.

I am currently on a diet.

Can I use AcuOne as well?

If you do not want to break off from a long-term diet, use AcuOne regularly throughout the day once every hour.

I am allergic to certain metals.

Can I use AcuOne?

Palladium is a rare and precious metal. It is one of the metals used in jewellery together with gold and silver. If in doubt, do not hesitate to consult your doctor.

Is AcuOne waterproof?

No, AcuOne is not waterproof, nor is it water-resistant.

•  MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS

It is merely necessary to replace the two batteries, depending on how often it is used.

Open the unit, using the key provided. Remove the used batteries and replace them with new. Re-close the unit.

•  SPECIFICATIONS
AcuOne comes in a blister pack. It works off 2 lithium CR2025 batteries. The operating temperature is between 5 and 35°C, with a humidity level between 20 and 80%. Protect AcuOne from dust, humidity and sunlight. Keep AcuOne away from any source of heat such as a radiator. AcuOne meets the requirements and other specifications contained in French standard NF EN 50081-1 and NF EN 55104 with regard to electromagnetic compatibility. AcuOne complies with the requirements in appendix IV, point 3 of directive 93/42/CEE, and standard CEI 601-1. AcuOne carries the CE mark.
